Buying A House Before Marriage

Buying a house or having a house built before marriage???

Some superstitious people say it's bad luck but I say, it is PRACTICALLY GOOD.

They say you and your partner might wake up one day and realize you're not meant for each other and decide to go on separate ways. What will happen to the house? Nothing. The house goes to the one who bought it. If both of you invested for it, then sell it. It's really up to you what to do with it. If you didn't give a dime to buy your dream house or a cent to have it built, then don't pine for it. Technically, it isn't yours.

But hello?! Why give in to superstitious beliefs when both of you know each other's worth? I mean, seriously?! You dreamed of having a nice cozy home together and when the house is finally finished you'll break up? Unless she's the bitchiest bitch of all bitches and he's the hardest person to deal with, lazy or a cheating bastard, then there's no need to stay in a hellish relationship.

If you know your differences and downsides but still manage to accept everything and deal with it like a pro, your relationship will definitely survive unless fate gets in the way. I'm not a superstitious person. It is fate that makes me wonder sometimes. Oh well, if he or she is not meant to be yours, then he or she won't be yours.

Which should come first: House or Marriage? Either??? Lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
I know some people who got married first but still having difficulties looking for their own house or still living with their parents. Some of them already have babies. Although it won't be a problem for me if I got no choice but to live with my parents or my future in-laws, however, I don't want to be in that situation when C and I have options. I don't aim for a fancy house. I just want to have a place we can call our own. There are certain things between you and your partner that you won't want to share with your in-laws but it is unavoidable if you live under the same roof. The last thing you want is having your parents or in-laws get in the way.

Who gets there first.
If you are both consenting adults and you're absolutely sure that your partner is the one who will walk down the aisle to meet you at the altar someday or vice versa, then there's no problem with buying a house first. I mean, what's in a hurry? As far as I know, marriage IS NOT A RACE. Just because your childhood friends, neighbors, colleagues and acquaintances have gotten married doesn't mean that you have to do the same thing right then and there.

What kind of question is that?
Sometimes I really get peeved when someone asks, 'When is your wedding?". I find the question quite intrusive but I try to hold the reigns instead of answering sarcarstically. I ponder for awhile why would this person ask this kind of frigging question and just politely state the reason why. Mentally, I want to claw my eyes out for having the need to explain why not now, not this year, not next year, not in the next decade or not in the next century. I'd been asked the same question by the same person for the nth time and I still give her the same reason. We'll have our house first. But I really wanna say, FFFffff!!! You'll know when if you receive an invitation, Okay???!!! Hahaha I really wonder why other people bother to ask when I certainly don't mind nor care other people's business and I don't make it my business to ask someone I know who has a boyfriend/girlfriend regarding their wedding date or if they are planning to get married at all. These days, it's one of the most insensitive, nonchalant and intrusive questions a random person dares to ask.

Why?
I don't like asking anyone that kind of question because I don't like putting that person in an awkward situation. What if they are not in that stage, yet?  What if you asked a person who is deeply in love with his/her partner but his/her partner has never talked about it with him/her? What if they are not planning on getting married after all? What if they have other plans before getting married? What if they haven't saved enough for the wedding, yet? And all the kinds of YETS??!! Even if C and I have talked about it a thousand times, it still irks me when someone asks questions like that. I don't know why.

There's nothing wrong about it but if the same person asks the same question again and again is just so irritating.  If a couple has already set the date, why would you care, anyway? Unless you're the make-up artist, florist, photographer or the organizer that the couple has hired, then you absolutely have the right to know about the wedding date. If you're none of those and if you're not even a close friend, don't bother asking that question at all. Lol! I always tell C whenever someone pop the question and he would often ask me about my answer. I feel guilty at times because whenever I get mad and irritated because of the blasted question, I sometimes throw it at him. But he would remind me again and again about our plan then I'd realize, Oo nga ano?!

Why would you ask? If you were not there when they became boyfriend/girlfriend, if you didn't know the story of how they found each other, if you were not responsible nor the cupid who brought them together and if you're only asking just to feed your curiosity and have a topic to talk about with others, then bite your tongue and shut your mouth. It's none of your concern.

People astound me sometimes. I wonder if they are bored with their own lives that they would nose around. I wonder if they would give a free service if they know the wedding date. I wonder if they LOL inwardly if we couldn't give a specific date and assume that we haven't plan it yet. Maybe it makes them feel better to know someone isn't getting married yet. Maybe they secretly wish the couple would break up someday because they go by the meme, 'nothing is forever'?? LOL. Little digs! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

To anyone
If someone asked you and put you in an awkward situation, think of these: You don't really need to explain but if someone asks you the same question and you find it a bit intrusive, ask them the same question if the one asking is unmarried like you. You can state the reason why, tell them you don't have plans of getting married at all and that you're contented with what you have now or ask them if they are going to contribute something on your wedding that's why they are asking. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Anyway, I tackled about it because people get affected by someone's query sometimes. There are other couples out there who planned of purchasing a house first before tying the knot. When people around you suddenly pop the question, you sometimes ask the question to yourself, "Kailan nga ba"? Then there's the thought, "Sometimes the best things in life are the unplanned." But it says "SOMETIMES not MOST OF THE TIME." It doesn't hurt to follow your plan. Then there's this superstition. I know it doesn't hurt to believe to any of these superstitious things either, but we are not just into it. I asked C about it but I guess he doesn't believe either.

Again, for us, it is practically good to have a house first. It is just more preferable going home to your own house after the wedding.

NBI Clearance Application and HIT

Ang aking lakbay sa pagkuha ng NBI.

I didn't bother setting an appointment days before the actual date because I was confident that I could just walk in anytime and fall in line, but I was wrong. As I checked the NBI Website, I was greeted by this message.

NO APPOINTMENT NO ENTRY POLICY

Below are some simple steps I have done online.

REGISTRATION: You need to register if you don't have an account yet.

After registering, you can now SET AN APPOINTMENT.

PURPOSE and PURPOSE Detail

By the time I checked the date, I was too late. I wanted to process my application at the satellite office in Robinsons Galleria as I've known that the processing is faster there. However, there were no more available slots for my desired date, 27th of January.
  😒πŸ˜₯😒

I checked the list of other satellite offices and found Robinsons Cainta still had slots so I set an appointment right away.
Just click AM/PM buttons. I chose PM.

CHOOSE PAYMENT OPTION
After choosing satellite office, purpose and purpose detail, it's time for you to choose payment option. I chose Bayad Center. You may choose whichever option is convenient to you.

REFERENCE NUMBER
Kopyahin ang Reference Number. If nabayaran mo na, the status would automatically change from Pending to PAID.

The next day, I paid for the said amount and headed to Cainta right away. I was not expecting to find a lot of applicants kasi I thought people would rather go to Rob Galleria because it's faster there. But lo! Pagdating ko, sobrang haba na ng pila. Take note, the mall opens at 10:30 and I got there at 10:45, but I was given number 418!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

NOTE: Pay the said amount first bago pumunta sa satellite office para pagdating doon  ay kukuha ka na lang ng number for picture-taking.

Again, I was confident that online applicants would be entertained first, but one of the personnel said that we were all online applicants! Hahaha! Ang last number is around 700! I'm not exaggerating.

PICTURE-TAKING and FINGERPRINTING

Finally it was my turn and I tried hard to contain my excitement. I was anxious to be done with it and go home. Unfortunately, I was one of those unlucky applicants who got a HIT status. How come? I always thought that my name's unique. Charot! But really, I didn't have that status the first time I applied for a clearance back in 2009. I was so frustrated I wanted to cry. 😒😒😒 Haaaay...

Weeks before, C advised me to go to the main office in Manila instead para in case na magka-HIT man ako, autmatic na ang verification, but I didn't listen. I should have.

RELEASING of Clearance
I waited for two weeks and the most awaited day finally came. This time I didn't have to fall in line.
 I finally got it! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

December Na!

I can't believe 2016 is almost over. As usual this blog post is meaningless. Haha!

Honestly, I want to work at home.

Still hoping that I would be courageous enough to pursue my dreams.

The Car

It's funny to have a friend or an acquaintance who thinks that he or she knows it all and it's a shame that they don't. Some even make it a habit of correcting every word you say but ironically fail to correct oneself.

Convo on the way home:
Sheva and BlasΓ©-ska were having a conversation about random things when Sheva corrected BlasΓ©-ska's pronunciation of "statue" [staa-choo]

Sheva Feelerensky: It's  'stey-choo' (with conviction) hahaha
BlasΓ©-ska Menavich:  (If you say so; Imaginatively rolled eyes.)
rolleyes

But then BlasΓ©-ska remembered that she heard Sheva mispronounced some words, too.

Sheva Feelerensky: Asking her students some random questions. "Do you know 'lam-bor-jee-ni'?"
BlasΓ©-ska Menavich: Overheard the question. (What in the name of randomness is that word?)
  File:icon eek.gif

BlasΓ©-ska tried her very best to remember the damn word. She has stirred and has racked her brain to no avail. Maybe Sheva was talking about her friends respectively named, Lambor and Jeeni? Since BlasΓ©-ska couldn't find the answer on her own, she asked her very informative friend, Google dot Comonov. Even Mr. Google found it hard to find the words 'lambor and jeeni'. Shame that BlasΓ©-ska was so blasΓ© she knew deep in her diencephalon that the word sounded familiar but too dumb to acknowledge.

BlasΓ©-ska was so scandalously amused she wanted to roll on the floor and laugh out loud. Damn, Lamborghini! Lamborghini oi! [lam-bΙ™r-gi-ni]...

Alright, let's make a 'stey-choo of 'lam-bor-jee-ni' for you!

I Mustn't Gloat

Social Media has brought various changes to people's lives. It has given lots of advantages. It has brought positive and negative things.

People can make money out of it.
People can share inspirational quotes.
People can share  useful ideas.
People can share DIYs.
People can easily reach out.
People can have virtual friends. (Although this isn't really that bad, it's still better to have real friends.)

But...
There are people who insensibly rant about everything. (Hanep talaga yong iba, walang preno.)
People bully other people through social media. (Cyberbullies and trolls)
People post things they ought to keep private. (Washing dirty laundry in public)
People post asinine things about people.

I don't judge but I can't help but ask the big question, WHY? Why do this?

Typhoon Yolanda was one of the strongest typhoons ever recorded. It had taken lots of lives. It wrecked havoc and destruction. It brought the worst and the best characters out of people. It was one of the darkest times in the Philippines. Unlike other countries, it had taken years to rebuild and repair the damages, and not without the aid from other generous countries.

Why brought out the typhoon?
I brought it out because people were irrational sometimes. That time, our company asked for volunteers. I was willing to go. After all, it was the least that I could do since I couldn't travel and actually help the people who were affected. But then, for some reason, which I can't disclose specifically here, I changed my mind. I don't have problems in associating with people but if I can't bear to be with a person or certain people, I'd rather not stress myself to indulge or be with them.

I had an office mate before. She would keep on talking about public officials not doing enough to help the stranded and starved people. How officials just lazed it out. How an official had to put his name on the goods that they would distribute (Well, I reacted on this for that was clearly disgusting). However, volunteers couldn't reach the place and give help to the people simply because the place was unreachable. She would express chains of concerns every day. Same thing, every day. The mantra just went on and on to the point that it irked me already. It irritated me because her rant about useless officials couldn't really help the poor people. Worse, she was venting it out on me. Before I could stop myself, I told her to run as a public servant (Tumakbo ka kaya...) . Which offended her. Then she did the lowest thing a person could do on social media. (Which what I am doing now. :P ). She posted about me lacking concern. That there were people like me who didn't care. She ranted about herself showing sympathy and concern and people would just tell her to run as a public servant. She even said that I had to be coaxed to volunteer. Hahaha. Boang! She was so wrong. I was concerned but I didn't have to slap it to her face just to show her that I sympathized (Hmmm..speaking of slapping someone, there were times I wanted to slap her for all the things she said behind my back and for those insensible comments she has made about me). And why make the volunteering thing an issue? I wasn't the only one who didn't come. I got personal reasons why I didn't go. One of them was to deal with people like her. Hahaha!

The question is why would she give a damn if I go or not? Why count the things I do and things that I don't do? I don't give a damn what she fudging does. I was hoping she would do the same. Why post it? I get it she was thoughtful and was really concerned but even a 5-year old would know that strings of tirade wouldn't help. If she was so concerned, why didn't she make a way to be heard by those officials she was ranting about. Maybe it would have made her feel better if she approached a radio station and aired her vociferation.

I just couldn't believe she posted it on Facebook, praising herself and condemning someone. However, something happened (it's her story so I won't elaborate) and I never imagined she would get a chance to taste her own medicine. It took 2 years for karma to arrive. It was worse than what I have experienced from her. I'll be honest, I was hoping she would learn that what she did was wrong but I didn't wish it to be that exage.

I wanted to gloat but what she experienced was something I could never imagine to happen to me. If there is one thing that I don't like about social media, it's the freedom that it gives to users to post strings of harangue about other people.

Therefore, I conclude that karma is not just a word.

Inevitable Changes

Irrelevant entry. Again.

Dis: I have nothing against changes but...

How I would love to write everything here in a very informative way. Word for word. Ponto por ponto. The irresistible urge to write artistically and post an entrancing entry regardless of who might read it but having no interesting thing to share  makes me feel like Neo. Not the hacker in the Matrix and not the hero in the disturbingly real world but just the person trapped in the virtual subway. Had I known years ago that writing is a very interesting thing an individual can do, I would have taken Creative Writing course. But I had no fudging idea so here I am pining for it. It's too late now, isn't it?Time machine, please!

Posting everything in details is very tempting. Kaya lang, di pwede as I'm not prepared how to react and elaborate if someone I know asks me about this senseless blabber. Hahaha! Thank goodness, no one's reading this.

How would someone actually react when she goes on with her daily routine at work and when she looks at everything around her, she notices that everyone seemed to have packed and dressed up for the new chapter of their lives and she, among others, is stuck in the same page?
Gaaaaah!

Kabra palihug beh, pangligwat...

Where am I?Oh, yes changes. People come and go. Seasons change. Employees apply and resign. Normal occurrences, right? When one of the important people in the admin resigned, I was a bit, just a tinsy bit surprised. She has been in the company for years and maybe she has finally decided to change course. Few months later, our OM, a senior  with a very important role decided to get off the ship. This, however, sprouted questions at the back of my mind. She has been in the company longer than I can imagine and her decision was, well for me, totally unexpected. Uneventful months passed by and life must go on. Then came this unanticipated surprise. Our understanding, humorous, kind, accommodating, unbiased and approachable HR, took her turn to do the catwalk to take up a probably more colorful journey.

Although I am happy for I am sure she and the others will have a blast, it saddens me to think of the new adjustments and changes that we have to face.

I will surely miss exchanging sincere genuine smiles and echt His and Hellos with them. :(

Change, fudge you! Oh well, I want to take my turn to do the catwalk someday, too. Not on the runway, mind you but for a more fantabulous and dazzling journey.

Get To Know Few Things About Me

What is this blog about?

Well, it's about various, random and crazy things and thoughts. Don't expect too much.

Grammar Nazis, beware:
I'm not a professional writer nor a grammarian, so don't be surprised if you find some lapses. I created this blog just for fun. :D Grammar and Syntax might cause you hair loss and make you bald, odd adverbs and adjectives might give you a heart attack and misused prepositions will make your nose bleed.

If you don't want to go insane and find yourself looking for a shrink for exerting effort to correct whatever there is to correct in every entry, a friendly advice, close the tab immediately. Hahaha!

About me:

I'm a home person. I love staying at home so much. I prefer reading eBooks, watching movies or enhancing my skills in the kitchen πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ than going out.

I love chartreuse and I also quite like pink.

I love to cook but I'm not really good at it.

I only apply face powder and lipstick on my face, but I want to learn how to apply light make-up.

I have read Harry Potter book series and watched Harry Potter movie series hundreds of times.

Other books that I've finished reading are Lorien Legacies series by James Frey (Pseudonym: Pittacus Lore), The All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness, Linda Howard's books, some of  Karen Robard's books and Marie Hall's The Kingdom series.

Books I have yet to read are His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman, The Inkheart Trilogy by Cornelia Funke and The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis.

Movies that I love the most are Harry Potter movie series (of course), Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness (Benedict Cumberbatch!!! I cannot!), Star Trek Beyond, The Hobbit series, The Lord of the Rings series, Resident Evil series, X-Men πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, Die Hard series, Mission Impossible series, Ice Age series πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ and Disney movies.

Then and Now

Years ago, I liked the idea of going out and eating out with my colleagues. It's exhausting to even think about it now.

I used to be really friendly. I used to initiate a conversation, but now it seems awkward to do so. I don't know what I have eaten that made me socially awkward. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I used to dress up and wear heels, but now I'm comfortable with jeans, sneakers and flats.

What amazes me?
Meeting sincere, caring, humble, and dedicated people.

Probably one of the best things I've done is when I stopped analyzing people and their attitudes. :D  I got exhausted of understanding why there are such people with mind-blowing characters. It irks me every time I encounter those impossibly rude, arrogant, braggart, plastic people and those who only remember you when they need something. I do my best to avoid having a pointless conversation with these people and I'm also saving them from having a pointless conversation with me. :P  I don't condemn them for what they are and what atties they possess because I, too have a different attitude. However, I try my very best not to aggravate others.

I've changed but I'm not entirely sure if it's for the better. Lol! :P

What scares me the most?
Parasites and hairy caterpillars.
