Inevitable Changes

Irrelevant entry. Again.

Dis: I have nothing against changes but...

How I would love to write everything here in a very informative way. Word for word. Ponto por ponto. The irresistible urge to write artistically and post an entrancing entry regardless of who might read it but having no interesting thing to share  makes me feel like Neo. Not the hacker in the Matrix and not the hero in the disturbingly real world but just the person trapped in the virtual subway. Had I known years ago that writing is a very interesting thing an individual can do, I would have taken Creative Writing course. But I had no fudging idea so here I am pining for it. It's too late now, isn't it?Time machine, please!

Posting everything in details is very tempting. Kaya lang, di pwede as I'm not prepared how to react and elaborate if someone I know asks me about this senseless blabber. Hahaha! Thank goodness, no one's reading this.

How would someone actually react when she goes on with her daily routine at work and when she looks at everything around her, she notices that everyone seemed to have packed and dressed up for the new chapter of their lives and she, among others, is stuck in the same page?
Gaaaaah!

Kabra palihug beh, pangligwat...

Where am I?Oh, yes changes. People come and go. Seasons change. Employees apply and resign. Normal occurrences, right? When one of the important people in the admin resigned, I was a bit, just a tinsy bit surprised. She has been in the company for years and maybe she has finally decided to change course. Few months later, our OM, a senior  with a very important role decided to get off the ship. This, however, sprouted questions at the back of my mind. She has been in the company longer than I can imagine and her decision was, well for me, totally unexpected. Uneventful months passed by and life must go on. Then came this unanticipated surprise. Our understanding, humorous, kind, accommodating, unbiased and approachable HR, took her turn to do the catwalk to take up a probably more colorful journey.

Although I am happy for I am sure she and the others will have a blast, it saddens me to think of the new adjustments and changes that we have to face.

I will surely miss exchanging sincere genuine smiles and echt His and Hellos with them. :(

Change, fudge you! Oh well, I want to take my turn to do the catwalk someday, too. Not on the runway, mind you but for a more fantabulous and dazzling journey.

Pandesal

Vintage :P

Too much tomatoes, eh?

When I'm alone at home, I don't usually cook a meal because I'm lazy. :D So whenever I get hungry, I just either make pancakes or buy some bread. Special hot pandesal is one of my favorites and one of the few that I missed eating. Pandesal just smells so good. There was this small bakery close to were we used to live and we usually buy all sorts of bread there.

I usually eat pandesal with scrambled eggs with lots of tomatoes.

Cinnamon Pancake

Ooho! I sprinkled too much cinnamon powder.

I found few recipes online but as usual I didn't have the exact ingredients so I couldn't follow the recipe. What's important is I have cinnamon powder and flour. Hehehe Anyway I usually make pancakes whenever I get hungry because it's the easiest to make and it's delicious. My recipe is crazy and I sort of just mixed it all. I only made 2 pancakes since YY's at work.

Ingredients: (for 2 large pancakes so I didn't need much)
1 tsp of cinnamon powder
2 tbsp of mayonnaise (gives enough moist)
2 tbsp of sugar
1/3 cup of flour
1 tsp baking powder
water

I just tossed the ingredients together.
That's the last peach rose from my imperfect Peach Tiramisu.

Guess I just got so excited about cinnamon powder, I almost covered the whole thing with it. Oh, well.

Red Velvet

I'm not really fond of cakes. I love dessert but cakes are not on top of the list. However, years ago, I got curious about red velvet. Been watching YouTube videos and seeing those Youtubers baking cakes and all, fascinated me. I'd been seeing red velvet whenever I literally passed by at the mall but I didn't really pay enough attention. But then I thought, it wouldn't really be that bad to give it a try. I mean, maybe it really is delicious and that's what the hype all about that time. So I told YY about it and he said give it a try. I bought a slice for P195. Oh boy, I shouldn't have expected so much. Hehehe

Not so red and lacked moistness.

There was nothing special about it. The cake tasted like it was a day and a half old. Quite dry and tasted ordinary. The first bite was like, "Dang, I should have bought mamon instead." :P Well, I was expecting something close to what I have seen on YouTube, you know, with generous amount of moistness and given that I bought it at one of the cafes inside Shangri-la.

Or maybe there was something wrong with my tongue...

Ever Bilena: Love That Red

I usually buy two shades whenever I buy lippies. I usually choose a red one, which I use during my shift and a light shade lippy, which I wear when I'm out somewhere. I ran out of red so I went to the drugstore, since I'm not really into expensive ones and looked for a nice shade of red.  I read a review about EB but I already bought and tried EB: Vamp Red a couple of years ago before I stumbled upon the review. I didn't like it that much.

Then I saw EB: Vixen Red a few months ago. The color lasts long. It is cheaper than EB Matte Lipsticks so I gave it a try. But I need to try another shade. I intentionally looked for Love That Red because I simply want to try this kind of Red.

Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick: Love That Red

What is matte?
A kind of lipstick that dries off to a clean or dull finish.

Product Description: Pure impact, pure luxury. Ultra matte finish! The only matte lipstick that makes your lips stay supple and smooth. Delicately developed with long wearing formula that accentuates and pampers your lips. Incredibly luxurious with Vitamin E that gives your lips the natural moisture.

Packaging: Good Enough. Honestly, I don't usually mind about the packaging. What matters most is the performance of the product inside.
Neat :)

The shade.

Truly red...

Why red?
I wear this shade for I don't want to look dull on the camera during the class. It's the only shade visible enough on the camera. There are times that we are not perky enough to entertain the students and students get easily bored. Might as well distract them from going to dreamland by wearing a shocking shade of lipstick!

Thoughts about the product:
It's good enough. I'm quite satisfied with the color. I'll probably buy again, but like I said, I like trying different shades of red. So I might try another lippy next time.

What I like about it:
-It has Vitamin E.
-It's matte but it doesn't look or feel dry on the lips.
-It lasts quite long enough.

What I don't like about it:
-It has propylparaben.
-It smudges easily since it doesn't dry off totally. Read the description above.

Get To Know Few Things About Me

What is this blog about?

Well, it's about various, random and crazy things and thoughts. Don't expect too much.

Grammar Nazis, beware:
I'm not a professional writer nor a grammarian, so don't be surprised if you find some lapses. I created this blog just for fun. :D Grammar and Syntax might cause you hair loss and make you bald, odd adverbs and adjectives might give you a heart attack and misused prepositions will make your nose bleed.

If you don't want to go insane and find yourself looking for a shrink for exerting effort to correct whatever there is to correct in every entry, a friendly advice, close the tab immediately. Hahaha!

About me:

I'm a home person. I love staying at home so much. I prefer reading eBooks, watching movies or enhancing my skills in the kitchen 😂😂 than going out.

I love chartreuse and I also quite like pink.

I love to cook but I'm not really good at it.

I only apply face powder and lipstick on my face, but I want to learn how to apply light make-up.

I have read Harry Potter book series and watched Harry Potter movie series hundreds of times.

Other books that I've finished reading are Lorien Legacies series by James Frey (Pseudonym: Pittacus Lore), The All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness, Linda Howard's books, some of  Karen Robard's books and Marie Hall's The Kingdom series.

Books I have yet to read are His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman, The Inkheart Trilogy by Cornelia Funke and The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis.

Movies that I love the most are Harry Potter movie series (of course), Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness (Benedict Cumberbatch!!! I cannot!), Star Trek Beyond, The Hobbit series, The Lord of the Rings series, Resident Evil series, X-Men ðŸ˜‚😂😂, Die Hard series, Mission Impossible series, Ice Age series ðŸ˜‚😂😂 and Disney movies.

Then and Now

Years ago, I liked the idea of going out and eating out with my colleagues. It's exhausting to even think about it now.

I used to be really friendly. I used to initiate a conversation, but now it seems awkward to do so. I don't know what I have eaten that made me socially awkward. ðŸ˜‚😂😂

I used to dress up and wear heels, but now I'm comfortable with jeans, sneakers and flats.

What amazes me?
Meeting sincere, caring, humble, and dedicated people.

Probably one of the best things I've done is when I stopped analyzing people and their attitudes. :D  I got exhausted of understanding why there are such people with mind-blowing characters. It irks me every time I encounter those impossibly rude, arrogant, braggart, plastic people and those who only remember you when they need something. I do my best to avoid having a pointless conversation with these people and I'm also saving them from having a pointless conversation with me. :P  I don't condemn them for what they are and what atties they possess because I, too have a different attitude. However, I try my very best not to aggravate others.

I've changed but I'm not entirely sure if it's for the better. Lol! :P

What scares me the most?
Parasites and hairy caterpillars.

Peach Tiramisu...Trust me, I tried.

At least I tried...hahaha

I do love desserts. Who doesn't? I tried to make a fair few following the recipes I found online. So far, the only dessert I've quite successfully made was mango float and thankfully it was edible enough or maybe YY didn't have a choice but to eat it? hahaha! Anychuvss, I've been craving for peaches. I've been wanting to make peach tiramisu but YY only wanted to eat mangoes. Haay!

Last Saturday, I decided to drop by at the supermarket to buy some adhesives and turmeric powder but I ended up buying three kinds of adhesive and few more items. This is what I hate when going to the supermarket. Before I ventured to the store, I already had an imaginary list of few things that I would buy but I ended up buying more items I wasn't supposed to. Crazy. And this happens every time. That's why I don't like going to supermarket. :p

So yes, I was looking for turmeric when I saw a small pack of cinnamon powder so I took one. Then I suddenly remembered the peaches so I sashayed to the canned fruit section. Scanned the shelves for the cheapest can of holy peaches. Hahaha! I actually found one and saved 5 pesos. Hehehe :D I also bought cocoa powder, cream cheese, Kremdensada and powdered milk. Konti lang but they weren't on my list.

When impatience strikes....
Peaches ♥♥♥

Patience really is a virtue but I only got few strands left which I reserve for my students. Since I didn't reserve any for this and since I couldn't wait any longer to savor it, I mixed cream cheese and the unchilled Kremdensada. It got so lumpy! Ah, laziness and impatience combined. I got no other choice but to put the mixture in the freezer. Hahaha! Kainis lang.

I managed to submerge the slices in my pitiful attempt to make few pitiful mini peach roses hours later. Close enough to what I have imagined. Hahaha! At least I tried.

This for P200 budget.

How Much Is A Word?

Hindi ko alam kung naka ultra power saving mode ba ang mga studyante ngayon or sadyang tamad lang talagang magsalita.

This entry is all about jumbled thoughts. I just got home from my shift and  I'm tired and too lazy to make this post relevant. But I still want to post something no matter how irrelevant this entry will be. If grammar and syntax make your eyes boggle and make your nose bleed, then you know what to do. Close the damn tab! Hahaha! I didn't know laziness is contagious.

It's terribly frustrating when:

~I answer my own simple questions not because the student doesn't know the answer but because he/she is not in the mood to interact.
~I get one-word answer.
~They are capable of conversing but don't care to elaborate answers.
~They say "I don't know." then lazily add "I don't care." >:( (nakaka-beastmode!)
~I patiently wait for the answers that will never see the light of day.
~They take time to answer not because they are thinking for a better/witty response or processing each question but because they are reading Webtoon (Nyemas!)
~They are browsing something.
~They're busy with their phone.
~They are smiling when I didn't say anything funny. (Does learning basic English make someone go nuts?)
~They sigh heavily before answering extended questions. (I don't remember asking  them to clean the bathroom.)
~They intentionally blow the microphone. (I can tolerate this but still.)
~A blaring Kakao Talk messenger alert tone interrupts me while I'm talking to the other student. Haay! If I could only send them to 12 Grimmauld Place and have them deal with  Walburga Black.
~I ask Hows, Whats, Wheres and Whys and I'd get "Yes or No".
~I only get uh-huh
~I ask situational questions and I only get a smile. (If only I could do the same without initiating a conversation after greeting them with "Hello!".) Despite all this, I'd rather face my students than a freakin' banshee.
Poor Bandon Banshee...

It cuts another string from my already waning patience. Thank goodness my teeth are still intact. Thank goodness I still manage to prevent myself from transforming into a She-hulk. Hahaha! The best thing is, my students and I are hundreds of miles apart. Professional educators would surely hate me for complaining. Blah blah blah...It's okay, though. I'm not the only one.  My co-workers feel the same way. We experience the same thing every day. Even the licensed ones who chose to remain in this industry had their patience tested.

Don't get me wrong. I do have passion for teaching but it's not always milk and honey.
I'm not really demanding. All I want is for them to converse and improve whatever there is to improve.

I do appreciate my dear students who tried their best to express their opinions. With them, I never notice the time. With them, boredom is a strange word.

Noodles with Kimchi

Guilty about eating instant noodles? You don't have to. Just don't gobble it every day. You might also want to add veggies to alleviate your guilt from eating highly processed food.

Kimchi :)

Instant noodles have always been part of our my life. I mean, who doesn't love springy and stringy noodles? I especially love beef flavored. The smell just reminds me of my childhood. Instant foods are tasty but not really a fan. They are way too salty and contain all the ingredients that we should avoid and run away from. However, there are ALWAYS cheat days. Well, I'm not talking about buying expensive "foods to go" on this so-called cheat day but I do buy whatever I want to eat. Mababaw lang naman kaligayahan ko. Basta nakakabusog at masarap ay kontento na ako. Saka na rin ako bibili ng sobrang mahal na pagkain pag wala na akong paki sa presyo. :D And you know what, before sahod, ang dami kong gustong bilhin na pagkain. Pero pagdating ng sahod, wala na. Limot ko na ang pagkain na gustong kainin.

Not that fond of eating at a fancy restaurants either. I don't know but I just feel guilty paying for food that could have fed my relatives for a day. Lol! I also can't stomach eating mouth-watering foods without my family. If I could eat fancy foods, I would eat those with them. If I could travel somewhere nice, I would bring them with me.  I just want to experience wonderful things and eat delicious foods with them.

Before anyone stumbles upon this mediocre blog, if there's any and say I'm depriving myself, please don't. I don't crave for those kinds of foods so I'm not depriving myself. Defensive much? Well, JollyMS, my office mate before said "One shouldn't deprive himself/herself with food and etc." But I don't and I'm not. Good thing my stomach is not that ambitious. It only craves what my wallet can afford to buy. Oh, but I don't have a wallet. :P
So yes, back to instant chuvaness. I don't have enoki mushrooms, tofu and other spices so I go for kimchi since I have kept some in the fridge. I don't have spring onions, too. So it really is the only healthy ingredient available since I don't have fungi. I literally don't have fungi. :P Sayang, I just saw enoki at SM supermarket last Saturday. I should have bought some. Oh well...

Ingredients:
1 pack of instant noodles (just don't pour all the seasoning)
3 spoonful of kimchi; sliced
1 egg (boiled or fresh; whatever I want)

What would make it perfect:
*diced tofu
*chopped spring onions
*enoki mushrooms

:-P

Faulty Mobo

When mobo seemed to be faulty and you don't know what to do :( . I did and followed everything that has been instructed. I unplugged and plugged everything to no avail. Situation like this makes me think twice before buying gadgets or any electronics from this particular online shop again. Sigh!

Update: I removed and reinstalled RAM. It's working now and my desktop's as good as new.

Bahaw na kan-on....

Just another lazy day. I wonder how I survived Tuesday talking to my students the whole shift. I want to keep this blog updated but I just couldn't think of more entertaining entry to write right now. So I end up with Bahaw na Kanin (tira-tirang kanin/leftovers).

Karon bitaw na tag-ulan na, tugnaw gyud. Lami nalang ibalukot habol tibuok adlaw. Tugnaw jud ikaligo! Samot tugnaw kung bugnaw pod ang gikaon. Sa katugnaw, manapol nalang pod lung-ag maong bahaw nalang gikaon or naa sad time na kapoy kaayo gikan sa trabaho mao di nalang initon ang bahaw. Hahaha!

Akong isa ka kaopisina(let's call her, JollyMS), before mi nahuman sa among shift kaniadto, gitagaan ko ug mamon man siguro to. Ambot, nalimot ko kung mamon ba to or ordinaryong pan raba kay 6 years ago naman gud to.

Hala, niinit gyud akong dunggan ato na time! Ganern!

Out of topic. Yes, dili to bahaw na kan-on ang gihatag ni JollyMS pero pagkadungog nako sa phrase na "tira-tira" nakanugot ko sa bahaw na kan-on. I have to be honest, I was offended. May bawas, oo but it was just a pinch. Bisan Tagalog na adjective di pa magamit ug tarong. Bisan ako baya pod, nagkagidlay sad kung mag-tagalog. But at least, I'm not that insensitive. If I don't have anything good to say, I just keep my mouth shut.

For me, it isn't really that bad to eat slightly-bawas na pagkain or leftovers given by someone as long as he or she doesn't have a contagious illness, the food isn't spoilt at kung hindi niya nilawayan, syempre.

It was a small issue but I couldn't think of throwing the mamon away just because may bawas na so inubos ko pa rin. I just don't like wasting food most especially if it's not spoilt. I really finish my baon na kanin and ulam sa opisina before going home kasi alam kong pagdating sa bahay ay mapapanis na ang kanin. I also don't mind accepting and eating food na may bawas na, like I said sa taas, but being addressed for doing it was uncalled-for. I knew what I was doing and she didn't really have to point it out.

Ang sobra-sobra, tira-tira, bahaw, bow!

Amazing Turmeric

I know a lot of people are already familiar with turmeric but I still want to write and share my opinion about it even if no one requires it.
Turmeric is a tropical plant in India and is basically used as a spice. It is also common in other Asian countries.
I have been looking for something which has no parabens, rids large pores, removes blemishes, acne and whatever imperfections that made my skin uglier than it already is. Hahaha! Anyway, I searched and tried almost everything but most of them never worked.
I tried gentle facial cleanser after washing my face, putting some anti-acne cream, facial scrub 2-3 times a week, anti-acne soaps, lemon peel and facial masks. Mind you, I didn't use all of them at once. I made some observations din naman. When I didn't see any changes after two-three weeks, I moved on to another product. Nothing worked. Poor me. I've done almost everything. I've drunk lots of water. I've gotten rid of oily foods. Oh well, not totally. But why do other people out there who usually have unhealthy meals yet still get to enjoy flawless skin???
When I was in high school, I enjoyed having a clear skin. I didn't use anything but Johnson's baby powder. Pimples only started to make their presence known when I tried out facial wash and other brands of soaps when I was in college. So before I ventured in the city in 2009, I already had these small pimples on my cheeks. I just finished studying then and my skin was already exposed to a harsh environment. But they were barely noticeable.
When I arrived here, it has gotten worse. I guess they were too pleased to be exposed to the pollution in the city that they'd partied all night long and produced disgusting offspring! It was humiliating at first, especially when people stared at my face mesmerized by the amount of pimples they couldn't even count on my cheeks, but kebsAnong paki niyo sa pimples ko? Duh! I'd gotten used to it that I almost forgot how it feels to have a clear and clean skin.
Then my co-worker took pity of my face and advised me to buy this facial cleanser(it's no longer on the shelves/phased-out), 1 capsule of Dalacin C (150mg), 2 gel capsules of Vitamin A (2500 iu) and 2 gel capsules of Vitamin E (400 iu) . Back then, it was easy to buy Dalacin C over the counter without prescription but these days, one should have a prescription. If you don't have it, no Dalacin C for you. I mixed the mentioned ingredients by pricking the gel with a needle and added the Dalacin C powder. Wow, did I mention Dalacin C too much? Pasensiya! The concoction worked well. My pimples had slowly vanished and it even made my skin glow a bit. My pimples were completely gone by the 3rd quarter of 2010. But they struck back.
I started to suffer having pimples again in 2014. It came like an avalanche and it freaked me out every time I check myself in the mirror. I didn't know what I ate that made them come to a promising stage of acnedom and had mushroomed all over my face. The concoction that I used before didn't make those incredibly annoying pimples budge! Ah nodules, they never ceased to amaze me.
I've searched and searched for acne remedies on the internet and tried each one that actually worked for some and hoped that it might miraculously work for me. Regrettably, they didn't. However, it never deterred me to keep on looking. I was not aiming for a perfectly smooth skin. I just wanted to get rid of those annoying pricks.
I have seen a video on Youtube, I would have linked it here but I forgot the title. It was a looong video I thought I wasted more than 30 minutes of my life watching it but I guess not. It discussed about how to get rid of acne. It was frustrating because the maker of the video would take the viewers to wanderland first before finally getting to the point but I patiently waited until he finally mentioned what I have waited for. He stated, "The best treatment for acne is not using any anti-acne products at all."  'Talaga?! Sige, i-try daw nato beh". So I stopped using anti-acne products, particularly facial cream, which clogged pores. Then I concentrated on using this product which has been a common household soap in the Philippines. It even has this slogan "A Soap For The Entire Family". It has been on the stock shelves of every store for generations because people still patronize it. I doubted that it would get rid of my pimples but it actually did the job. I'd been using this since elementary until high school days. When I studied in the university, I turned my back on it when I got tempted to use some beauty soaps. Not a good idea...tsk tsk!
So here it is.....

Dis:
Note that this is not a sponsored blog and I am merely sharing what products I've been using and even if it is, I won't write any misleading information about them... :D I'm not going to assure anyone who might stumble upon this journal, if there's any or maybe extraterrestrials who happen to have their own advanced technology, that it will diminish your acne. I cannot guarantee that it will totally work for you as much as it did on my skin. Some products perform fine on my skin but might not on yours, and so on and so forth. Try at your own risk.
My pimples are almost gone but I still have some dark spots. So naghanap uli ako sa Youtube ng maaari kong i-try para mawala ang mga dark spots sa aking mukha!
I stumbled upon Promise Phan's Youtube video about turmeric (curcuma, dulaw, dilaw na luya). It has a lot of health benefits. Everyone has made a review about it already you won't be having a hard time getting more info. If you want to find testimonials, might as well do more research. So anyway, watching the video tickled my fancy and made me want to run to the nearest supermarket and buy this incredible golden powdered spice that not only make food healthier to consume but also does wonders on skin.
I bugged my YY to buy turmeric so we can try it and we really did. We found this at SM Supermarket.
Cost: Php 19.00.

I can say it really walks the talk. My skin looks better than before. Dark spots are almost gone. So try it yourself. It might do wonders on your skin as well. You can watch Promise Phan's video to see the ingredients.
So here's what I mixed my turmeric with. If you have already watched the video, you might notice that the ingredients differ. Yes, I added few and altered the amount of ingredients to be used.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tbs of turmeric powder
  • 2 tbs of yogurt
  • 2 tbs of brown sugar, (I didn't have honey so...)
  • 1 tbs of flour (optional)
  • I added 1 tsp of Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar. (optional)
  • I also added a tbs of egg white (optional)

My skin still has few blemishes but I hope it's on its way to recovery from what it suffered. Acne really is everyone's nightmare! It makes some people cringe.
Although I don't mind having pimples and it's quite alright not to have a flawless skin, it's still more desirable to have a presentable face.

Shaw Boulevard

How my phone got stolen right under my nose by a shameless a**hole at Shaw Boulevard just across One San Miguel Avenue Bldg.

Before it was stolen, I used to think how lucky I am (although, I already experienced being mugged in 2010 while walking along Guadalupe Bridge-EDSA, but that was a different story) because I thought that working and waiting for a ride here in Ortigas is safe. I know, I know. Kahit saan ay hindi safe but compared to other cities in Manila, I thought it was. I have seen lots of videos posted on Facebook and one of them taken by someone stuck in a traffic jam capturing a phone snatcher in Recto. So, I thought to myself, "Oh, I'm here in Ortigas. Who would dare?".But damn, I was dead wrong!

It had to be slapped on my face for me to realize that I was wrong and that I should have expected the worst. I should have been more vigilant. I was so comfortable that I have neglected taking extra care. I have never been careless with my things regardless of the value.

I had to learn a lesson in a bitter way that time. It really broke my heart not just because the phone was damn expensive, but because it was given to me by Cy. It was so special that I really cherished it.

So, there I was, minding my own damn business and waiting to get a ride home. I was so eager to get home as it was Friday and oh, it was also April Fools' Day. What a memorable day to have your phone stolen!.

There were many people at that time and I actually didn't mind because it is usually crowded on Fridays. I was so anxious to get home that when I saw an almost empty jeepney, I ran just to get my butt seated inside. But lo! When I was about to go inside, a man blocked my way. I didn't mind at first but I got annoyed because he tried so hard to block my way. Just then, someone grabbed my bag from my right. I snatched it back. Damn, why did I even bother?! I didn't even have something valuable inside the bag. I was distracted and that was when my phone got stolen. I was pretty sure, the other one from my left side took it from my front pocket. Grabe lang! Dang! I didn't even noticed.

I couldn't even describe how I regretted taking my phone that night. It makes me want to punch someone's face every time I think about what transpired that night. I really cried. I was ashamed because it was a gift and I wasn't able to take care of it.

I cried because I couldn't believe my phone was stolen right under my nose! :(

I got off when I noticed that my phone's gone but it was too late. The street was almost empty and there was no sign of the buggers. I wanted to report it to the police but what could they do? For all I know, since they(the thieves) won't be able to get through the pass code, they have already sold the parts of my phone.

How could a Filipino do it to their fellows? How hard could it be to work for something that they want to have?? How lazy could they be that they would resort to stealing??

I couldn't even fathom how anguished I was. There were times I wished that time machines were invented. I couldn't believe how awful that was.

Though I couldn't go back and change what happened, there are many things I should be thankful about. My family and Cy were there for me (they didn't give me the "You-were-not-careful-enough-that's-why" line) and nothing bad happened to me. Thank goodness.

"Things that are not meant for us have a way of slipping away from our fingers."

But as J.K. Rowling's quote goes... 'Things we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end, if not always in the way we expect.'

I really hope so...

Milk with Turmeric

If coffee is not around, I spend time with milk and turmeric...errr, lame! Sorry...

Anyway, I love having coffee anytime of the day. It's already rainy season and this season makes me so clingy to coffee. But coffee and I need to take a break for a while. Hahaha! I never really had much problem with coffee and everyone knows that coffee has this amazing attribute that is truly beneficial. Coffee keeps me sane and prevents me from being grumpy. It has been my daily company. The very important reason why I can't stay away from coffee is because it's rich! Lol! It's highly known for it's property. Not real estate property, though. :P It's just amazing that coffee contains antioxidants. I couldn't ask for more. Everyone knows it, though. Need not to explain.

However, there are times that coffee is unavailable and times when I don't feel like having coffee as my company. Though I said I love having coffee anytime of the day, there are times that I crave for milk especially in the wee hours.

Since coffee and I need to take a break for a while, I turned my attention to milk. (What are you thinking?) If I could only hoard batches of milk, I really would. Warm milk is the best to have before going to bed. To add flavor, I added turmeric.
Yum!

Have you tried turmeric tea?  It makes the milk taste better. Turmeric is also beneficial. You can buy powdered turmeric at any supermarket near you. It's cheap and tastes really amazing!

Perfect for the cold weather.
